Thanksgiving week can feel like a week with nothing in it for you.
Your clients are driving to family dinners or flying to them, and none of that needs an advisor.
Here’s the problem with that thinking.
Those same clients are about to spend the worst travel week of the year in airports and on highways.
The Sunday after Thanksgiving is the busiest day in American air travel. In 2025, the TSA screened more than 3.13 million people on it, an all-time record.
Some of them would gladly skip it if someone showed them how.
There is a way.
Outside the U.S., that same week is quiet.
Airlines tend to have more seats on international routes, and Europe is in shoulder season.
Your Search Bar Is Haunted
Shoppers type exactly what they want and get “0 results found” back. They don’t complain. They just vanish to a competitor.
Gladly understands what shoppers mean, typos and all, and turns dead-end searches into product recommendations.
Here are three moves to put your clients there.
Move 1: Pick the place.
Europe is the value play. Paris and Rome are thinner than in summer, hotel rates can sit well below July, and many Christmas markets open around that week. Thailand and Morocco are coming into their dry, cool season. Mexico and the Caribbean are the high-season option. Cancún is the top international Thanksgiving destination, so availability is tight and prices carry a premium. Those clients need an answer fast.
Move 2: Move the dates.
The Wednesday-out, Sunday-back pattern is where the pain sits, and fares are up this year. Have your client leave Monday, November 23, or on Thanksgiving Day itself. Bring them home Monday the 30th or Tuesday, December 1.
Move 3: Send five notes today.
Pick your five best past clients. Send each one two lines: “Thanksgiving week abroad is quiet this year. Want me to look at Paris for you?” It’s October 29, so you have about four weeks. That’s tight, but it works for a client who already trusts you. Every client you move abroad that week is a booking you wouldn’t have had, and income to go with it.
Somebody is going to tell your clients where to go that week. Make it you.

Those five notes take about ten minutes. Keeping your newsletter, Instagram, and LinkedIn alive through November and December takes a lot longer, and an advisor who goes quiet over the holidays gets forgotten.
That’s why I’m opening a few spots for the Thanksgiving Appreciation Package.
For November, or November and December, I will write and design your newsletters, Instagram, and LinkedIn in your voice, so your holiday marketing is handled while you focus on your clients.
It’s $1,500 for November or $2,500 for both months.
Enrollment closes November 5, and I only take on a few advisors at a time.
Reply THANKSGIVING and I’ll send you the details.

Big companies hedge their risks. Now your business can too.
For US farm, ranch and small business owners.
Airlines hedge fuel. Food companies hedge crops. For decades, protecting a business from outcomes it can't control took a broker, a trading desk and an order size most owners never had.
Kalshi opens hedging up to small businesses. Pick the outcome that would hurt you, like a fuel spike, a heat wave, a new tariff or a rate hike, and take a position on it, starting at a few dollars. If it happens, the payout offsets the hit. If it doesn't, the contract expires and the good month was the point.
A California goat herder and a Maryland tea company already do it, and CNBC, Reuters and The New York Times have covered businesses hedging on Kalshi.
Kalshi is a federally regulated exchange.
